WRAS Approved Solenoid Valve

Valves Online are pleased to announce the addition of a new solenoid valve to their existing range.

“A new WRAS Approved Solenoid Valve has been added to our extensive range of valves, designed for drinking water (potable water) applications.”

“The valve in question is a Brass solenoid valve, 0.5-16 bar rated, servo-assisted and available in sizes: 3/8" up to 2”. Seals are approved by the Water Research Council, are made of EPDM and can handle temperatures up to 120°C.”

Valves are ‘normally closed’ in 12V DC, 24V AC, 110V AC and 230V AC; and are available to order from stock, supplied with a cable plug connector. They are one of the most economical valves currently available in the UK.

“For a long time we have had an existing customer who needed a reliable but low cost WRAS Approved Solenoid Valve he could use on bottling plant equipment.”

“At the time there were a limited number of valves on the market but the cost was difficult to justify, not to mention lengthy lead times. We looked at the problem and decided to source a valve that could step up to the mark and tick all the boxes!”

“Even though the customer had been more than happy with our previous solution… our WRAS Electrically Actuated Ball Valve (EA4320) we wanted to deliver on a promise and try to meet our customers expectations. Our new solenoid valve has met the challenge – the customer is delighted - we have also reduced the size and halved the weight!”

“On a ball valve water hammer is prevalent so costly dampers have to be fitted in line to stop this. Our new solenoid valve has a built-in feature which dampens water hammer.”

“In addition, it’s IP65 rating means that wash downs are no longer a cause for concern…not to mention cost reduction when compared to replacement actuated ball valves.”

“I’m pleased to say we now stock these valves in large quantities, ready for immediate dispatch”.
