Mars Series 88 Manual V Notch Control Ball Valve

This V Control ball valve offers an excellent choice for modulating service. The series 88 ball valve has an encapsulated stainless steel three piece body, which offers easy maintenance. The V sector balls come in 30°, 60° and 90° options, designed to suit your exacting flow requirement.

Smaller, lighter and lower in cost than conventional globe or segmented valves, this high performance V sector ball valve offers consistent and accurate control.

V Control ball valves are used over conventional ball valves, giving greater control through the V segment.

Used to control temperature, flow, level and pH. The valve is easy to service, allowing maintenance to be undertaken whilst the valve is still in situ. Another important fact is the seat material is 50% stainless steel filled PTFE, allows greater life over soft seats. The machined ball and stem provides the best possible hysteresis.

The Mars Series 88 benefits from a direct mount ISO mounting top for actuation. When combined with electric or pneumatic actuation it offers low cost and light weight, easy automation.

Please note:

To size the control valve / flow rate you require you should ideally aim for between 70% - 80% open rate. (This is an approximate way of sizing.) As an example, if you are looking for a flow of 7 m3/h you should select the 60° 1" ball at 70% fully open as shown below.
